I haven't seen this one in a while, so this joke took me by surprise, hahaha. "It's such a beautiful night... [thunder and lightning] ...only there is no smog." 😁 Personally I do find stormy nights beautiful, but after all this wildfire smoke, I think we could do without the smog.

Off topic as usual, but I've noticed that smog was a common subject of jokes in those days, considering how bad (and I mean real bad) the air quality was in Los Angeles and other major cities. For example: this Three Stooges joke has lived in my head forever, to the point where I sometimes randomly start snickering about "consolidated Fujiyama California... smog bags?!"

had a thought. there's probably nothing, but i was wondering if there is any footage of catharine lorre (i know there is that one photo where she's... writing on smth? w/forrest j ackerman? an event of some kind. is there footag from that?). i wonder what her voice sounded like, since peter had a very distinctive voice, and her mother annemarie was german, so she might have picked up a bit of an accent from them?

I don't know much about Catharine, but I recalled seeing the photo(s) you're talking about! I just posted a note to the person who had them to see if there is any video or even audio footage.
