Calculating… Calculating….Jump!
Since I'm trying to fall asleep, my wonderful princess Tequila has come to my aid purring and kneading my blanket. With every knead I could hear her claws get stuck in the blanket, reminding me of an imminent task: It's time to cut her claws soon.
I have not yet found the ideal way of doing this, so it is a task I put off for a while. But that's really helpful, it makes it harder and gives me less practice 🙃
On my first time doing it, I learned that my cats, as most, only have 18 claws on their paws. And this got me thinking: Would cats automatically choose a base 18 system? 18 feels like a great number, since it's divisible by 2,3,6 and 9.
Which brings me to this question:
Dear math side of Tumblr, what would the ideal base of our counting system be, and why?
Cat's precision in looking back to take care of kitten which means that cats can count....
