The Hunger Games Preference: When He Realizes He Likes You

Cato: Cato and (Y/n) had become very good friends after their run in at the market. Cato always joked that he always had to go to the market with (Y/n) just in case somebody else ran into her. Cato realized that he enjoyed his time with (Y/n) and when they weren't together, he felt lonely and a bit sad. Then he started to notice things about her that a normal friend wouldn't. Like how her (h/c) hair would shine in the sunlight, and how her eyes sparkled when she was talking about something that she cared about. In Cato's eyes, (Y/n) was the definition of perfection. Then it hit him. He was falling in love with his best friend.
Marvel: It had been many years, and like they had said, (Y/n) and Marvel had become best friends. they spent as much time together as possible. If you didn't know them, it would seem like they were dating, but they were just really good friends. But after almost every single person in the district had asked Marvel if he was dating (Y/n), he had to think about his real feeling toward her. He thought and thought, and his conclusion was... That he actually wanted to date his best friend.
Gale: Gale and (Y/n) met up in the woods often. Sometimes to hunt and gather berries, but sometimes just to talk. They would talk about everything. (Y/n) had become close friends with Katniss as well, and the two were like sisters. Gale only thought of (Y/n) as a friend, until he saw how much she listened to him when he talked. Katniss would always interrupt him, but (Y/n) listened patiently until he was finished before saying anything. Gale surprised himself by finding out, he isn't in love with Katniss, he is falling for his best friend.
Peeta: (Y/n) became a regular customer at the bakery. She enjoyed talking with Peeta. Even when she wasn't buying anything, (Y/n) would stop by just to talk to Peeta. Peeta's day would always be better after (Y/n) visited. He never really had anyone to talk to before and really enjoyed (Y/n)'s company. Peeta found that he would smile to himself whenever he thought about (Y/n). Realization hit him like a truck. He is head over heels for his new friend.
Finnick: After her first time shopping with Mags, (Y/n) had learned her lesson. Now she always asked Finnick to come help her whenever Mags wanted to go shopping. And Finnick was always happy to help. He enjoyed (Y/n)'s company. The two would talk and talk, only stopping when Mags was giving them something else to hold. Finnick found that (Y/n) was more beautiful than he had previously thought. He loved talking to (Y/n), watching her eyes light up when they talked about something she was passionate about, or how she unconsciously smiled when she thought about something happy. Finnick almost dropped everything he was carrying when he realized. He is falling in love with a girl he met at the market.
