Just had a really great experience with my little black kitten (whom I believe is my familiar). She (her name is Tator-Tot, Tate for short) and I have had a special connection since she was born a few months ago. She has always looked up to me and followed me around since she could see/hear/be around me. 

Anyways, I have wanted to create a sigil and/or spell to protect her and her cat family when they are out of the house (her aunt Rebel and sister Thunder Cookie have both passed away in/around our home). And I took this want as a time to see if she reacted positively to being around my witchy stuff (as I’ve read is a good way to tell if an animal is a familiar of yours). 

I brought her in my room a bit ago and set out to create the sigil. I had my Book of Shadows in my lap to look up color references and she immediately started nuzzling it. She was walking around me as I drew and she cuddled in my lap while I was writing (the spell I wrote actually came to me as I was finishing the sigil with her in my lap). I showed it to her and said it to her as she meowed at me and reacted pleasantly.

I took the time to draw out the sigil on an online drawing software (as closely as I could to the original) and I’m going to include the spell here.

CAT PROTECTION SPELL:

Protect my cat through day and night.

Protect my cat with all might.

And when the time is right,

She will show me to the light.

Do you have a terrible, unphotogenic cat that maybe you regret taking in because it pees on important things for no reason but you’re stuck loving it nonetheless because when it’s not set on a path of destruction it’s a super fun animal to have and is great at snuggling? Wow, me too! Good news: I discovered these 2 products today. The red bottle is “Nature’s Miracle” that I bought out of desperation and the other is “Persil” laundry detergent that I actually didn’t even know I had until I was telling my mom that I had declared war on the cat and she was like “oh I bought you some, it’s in that paper bag” Combined, these things are like “yay I don’t smell like cat piss today!”
