i hope you don’t mind that i answer this publicly (i get this question sometimes and wanted to do a summarized post!), and tbh i’m not really good at simblr yet, as i have spent most of my time here absent but i can give you some tips i’ve learned so far!
1. it’s very important to tag your posts if you want to get seen, i recommend using the tag ts4 for, well, ts4 and ts3 or ts2 for the appropriate game!
2. you HAVE to enjoy what you post and don’t be afraid to change up your saves, drop them or even drop your stories entirely if you don’t feel like writing them. your blog is your creative outlet and you should be free to express yourself as long as you don’t hurt anyone, like for example one of my favourite simblrs @sixamart recently changed her blog content to animal crossing and it makes me so happy to see how she’s enjoying herself over there! it’s such a positive energy when someone loves what they are doing!
3. find a nice theme! it makes the blog stand out so much and it’s a lot of fun to give your blog an unique touch! you can find some awesome ones here, but you can also look at other simblrs that you like!
4. you don’t have to use reshade in order to be a storytelling simblr at all! i follow @whyeverr and @starry-eyed-simss for example and their stories are awesome without it! BUT if you want to use it don’t be scared! it’s actually really easy to get running and i’d love to help you out! pick a simple reshade preset you like and then you can keep going from there!
