There’s happy, and then there’s cow kitty asleep in the sun on top of a crochet heart happy. 💗 I’m blessed to have two kitties who love to be by my side while I work but have zero interest in playing with the yarn. However, they do think all completed work is a cat bed... 😻 This heart yarnbomb/cat bed is going to be a part of the #RosedaleYarnbomb. I am straight up giddy about this installation! I hope you all have a chance to see it. There are so many things I’ve always wanted to do that I have the opportunity to do with this installation. For example: Yarnbomb a large group of lamp posts ✅ Yarnbomb a staircase ✅ Create a window display! ✅ The puppy backdrop wasn’t on my to do list but I’m ridiculously excited about it too. Not to mention the radical granny bench (when you see it you’ll totally get the name). I think what I love most though is the location. The whole point of yarnbombing is to make people smile. You’re walking along doing your thing when out of nowhere there’s a giant heart on a fence, a scarf on a statue, or a stop sign that looks like a knit flower. It’s so random and silly that you have to smile! Rosedale Center has been doing some really cool remodeling but I don’t think anyone expects to walk out of William & Sonoma to see a street covered in yarn!
