Unexpected Complications
@cattusnoir
It wasn’t supposed to be like this.
The Akuma had been far more dangerous and violent than the ones they had faced in the past. Anger towards the heroes made the villain all the more powerful, swings of a bright blade of light that seemed to be a part of the creature the person had become narrowly missing the duo. Leaps and dodges were mostly effective in keeping distance, but not for winning the battle.
Not until the Lucky Charm went out, producing a lamp with a large rimmed lampshade over it. Scrunching her nose to think of a plan, Ladybug quickly ascertained what must occur. Pulling the light away, whispered words and nods towards the actual standing lamppost were made. Chat was to use his cataclysm on the street illumination to distract the Akuma, while she used the shade to capture the weapon.
Fool proof.
However, in the motions that occurred, things all went according to plan. Including the sword sheathing itself within the shade. However, the edge of it clipped Ladybug’s side, a pained scream emitting from her before she ripped away the weapon from the foe, tossing it to the ground with an assertive stomp to break the light saber. There was a wobble in her step as the butterfly was picked up, a defined darkened spot clear on the side of the spotted hero’s suit.
Blue eyes were drifting as she whispered out, “bye, bye, little butterfly.” Fingers clutching her yo-yo hard. The girl barely noticed her partner nearby, the pain flowing through her as easily as the wound did.
