M-21 haaaates the snow if Tao hasn’t dragged him out into a snowball fight to distract him, because it reminds him of the times where he and M-24 were cold and wet in some unsheltered place while they were waiting for a pick-up to happen. And if something went wrong, snow and slush and ice meant that increased their chances of failing the mission so he’s just grumpy when it snows. Also, he can’t see shit when it’s snowing hard enough.
Kentas is just like, ‘8D HECK YEAH, A DIFFERENT TRAINING TERRAIN!!’
And is then confused when M-21 is just scowling at everything. And maybe thinks it’s because M-21 is cold, since he’s stiff and shivering, so Kentas just puts his jacket over M-21′s shoulders.
Which doesn’t really help with M-21′s memories, but it does drag him away from them a bit, and reminds him he’s no longer in the same place as he was back then.
But also, ‘Jeez, fuck, take your jacket back! You’re not walking around with just a shirt on when there’s a blizzard.’
‘But you need it more than I do??’
And M-21 maaaaybe thinking about how the white warrior cloaks don’t actually stand out in a blizzard, and if that’s what the cloaks are made for, no wonder Kentas doesn’t feel the cold.
