Fuji is a very sweet and brave boy who never whine about taking his meds or wound cleaning. Fuji chan, we're rooting for you! . . #Repost @gerryreyluke (@get_repost) ・・・ Update on Fuji and fundraising appeal: It is now coming to 3 months since Fuji’s rescue, and while his tail wound showed initial signs of recovery, it is now at a stage where the skin is no longer able to contract over the tail stump and the vets we have consulted have assessed that no further wound healing will take place. In the meantime it’s a matter of time before Fuji builds up resistance to the antibiotics and sepsis sets in. So, the only option to give Fuji a chance at living is amputation of his tail. We cannot possibly turn our backs on Fuji now and so we are going ahead with the op. As it is not a simple op, the cost will be high and the previous fundraised amounts for him is not enough, even after @lee.yang.51244 and I chip in with more funds ourselves for the op. So, this is also an appeal for contributions towards Fuji’s op. Please see @luvkuching’s page for the account details to transfer the amount to. Any amount would be appreciated, and we will be setting up an excel sheet to reflect the donated amounts for full transparency. We are using @luvkuching’s bank account to avoid fees imposed by other fundraising avenues, so do state clearly in your transfer (or in a separate email to [email protected]) that it is for Fuji’s operation, so that the funds go towards his op. Fuji is also currently boarded there and will be there for post op recovery as well. @lee.yang.51244 and I have discussed about Fuji long and hard, and we’ve come to the conclusion that Fuji allowed us to rescue him for a reason, so we will do whatever is within our means to help him.
