Seven Days of White Fluff
A puppy was sitting in front of her with white, fluffy fur that looked as soft as a cloud. Her breath hitched as she took a closer look at the pup’s face. Golden, intelligent eyes stared back at her, the floppy ears laid back cautiously, and a blue crescent moon adorning his forehead.
Kagome couldn’t resist; she licked her thumb and stretched her hand slowly out, heart beating fast in her chest. Thump, thump, thump . She couldn’t stop her limbs from trembling as she rubbed over the symbol that belonged to the former Lord of the West. It didn’t smudge, didn’t wash off.
“Ouch.” The little dog had nipped at her finger as she tried to wipe the moon out of existence, his tiny but sharp teeth biting her flesh. Kagome swallowed, her throat dry. It couldn’t be.
“Sesshoumaru?” she whispered his name, fearing the puppy would vanish any second. Another high bark rang out, and he tilted his head to the side, observing the miko. Carefully, the dog took a step forward, then another. He let out a little whimper and dragged his tongue over her thumb, licking the blood away almost apologetically.
A teaser and wonderful art by @thepadawanartist for my now finished fic "Seven Days of White Fluff".
