The ocean is relatively quiet today. The roar of the waves, the cries of seabirds...
But, of course, such peace can't last forever. Ships do sail through these waters, including the ship of the infamous pirate captain, Risky Boots.
However, a different kind of transport cuts through the ocean's surface today: a motorboat, driven by someone no one around these parts would recognize!
The amber-skinned woman, one Zahra 'Abla, who is driving the boat is dressed in a red one-piece and a pink lifejacket, with a pair of pink-rimmed sunglasses over her eyes. With a laidback smile on her face, Zahra looks around at the surrounding ocean, the wind blowing through her raven hair tied up in a ponytail...until her boat hits the stone of a reef, sticking up just barely above the surface of the water.
The boat goes sailing through the air, Zahra gripping the steering wheel intently, eyes wide and alarmed, until the boat crash-lands on the sandy shores of an island that the disguised djinni had already seen on the horizon.
The boat is stuck halfway into the sand. At first, there is relative silence (relative, as the waves and seabirds can still be heard, along with the wind moving through the leaves of the island's foliage) as Zahra is nowhere to be seen. Then, in a flash of pink, Zahra appears in front of the buried boat.
She turns to inspect it, hands on her wide hips. "I have GOT to pay more attention," she sighs, "I've still got a payment left on this thing." With a snap of her fingers, the boat disappears to who-knows-where in another flash of pink light.
She turns to the island's forest. "Well, since I'm here, I may as well explore..." And off she goes, her only compass being curiosity as to whether anything of note is on this island...

How I feel about this character: I love Velvet. I wish her design was a little less skimpy though. I also think she deserved better in Canon
All the people I ship romantically with this character: Magilou, Eleanor, Nyx, Rose
My non-romantic OTP for this character: Velvet and Phi! Or Velvet and Seres
My unpopular opinion about this character: Uh her design is too skimpy lol?
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I think they should have just killed Inominat. I mean Phi had to become the new suppressor anyway. If he was killed, Velvet would have had a happier ending ;-;

a headcanon fact: Given that like 90% of taste is smell, and Velvet can smell very good. I reject the notion that she cannot taste. Velvet can taste just fine.

🎀🔮🎀 The sorceress supreme is currently wrangling an Eldritch Drake that emerged from a multiversal tear and is using her giant spectral hands to push it right back in to close it.
Though she didn't really know what she was looking at, Solar Flare was doing her best to help keep the beast from crawling back out of the hole in spacetime, flitting about and loosing bolts of lightning and balls of fire at it. Like hell she was going to let anything endanger her city!
