And so when Dodo meandered in dragging what looked to be a corpse all the exasperated head of the household could think to say was "Where'd you get that?" and hope her answer wasn't that she had killed him.

Ah. Silly Dodo. He felt as though she was always falling asleep. Anywhere and everywhere. Completely used to this occurrence the raven scooped his chain up in his arms. He might as well take her to his room and let her rest in his bed. At least it will keep her out of trouble while he does his work.

What was she going on about now? “Is this about Jack again?” He asked quietly, not looking up from his book. Why couldn’t she trust him and have faith in him the way Oswald was trying to. If she did maybe it would put his heart at ease finally.

For some it was hard to believe, but Oswald genuinely cared for each of his chains. They were more than just tools or useful pets as some people viewed them. They were the closest things he had to family with Lacie and Levi gone. And so in his final moments as Oswald protected Dodo, all he could think to say was "Are you alright?" Because to Oswald protecting family was more important than protecting himself. And he had already lost two members of his family, he didn't want to lose another.

"Are you that upset with me?" He asked with a slight sigh, observing the chain. "What have I done wrong?" Maybe she was just being overly sensitive to something.
