• neurotic teenage girls obsessed with order and sweet, patient boys whose freakiness compliments hers (canderemy, milanda)

• homoerotic best guy friends that need each other but whom they have no intention of ever making canon (perryshmirtz, dakavendish)

• cool mom and her malewife who're both nd (linda x lawrence, brigette x martin, carolina x dave)

If I had a nickel for every time my favorite duo in a show was a gay-ish couple consisting of a beanpole of a fruity British man with a grey mustache, an olive green suit, and a resting bitch-faced, upright personality from his miltiary-esque career and his much nicer short, pudgy goofball of a boyfriend with aviator glasses, a 70s/80s fashion sense, and a (usually) chill demeanor... I'd have two nickels... Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice, right?

Bonus points for being the weird uncles of a fuchsia-wearing disaster child with a heart of gold.
