It was such a treat playing with @clarembee & @brandonrobertyoung on tour again this year, not only opening the shows & appearing during Clare's sparkly set, but this year, I was well enough to help out with the VIP Meet & Greets. It was such a privilege to be able to play these songs in such a raw & revealing way with Brandon & Clare to so many beautifully attentive people. Settings like this take the songs back to how they started - Timber, Steel & a human voice. There's something so special about experiencing songs in that open format. I can't wait to bring some of my songs back to you in this setting (for the most part) for these upcoming shows in August & September! 💖💖💖 This was captured backstage at the @enmore_theatre. Every band that I have adored & have been inspired by over the years has graced this stage. To be witness to @clarembee completely crushing it out there & making that stage her own filled us all to the brim with pride. And to be able to share in that was such an immense privilege. I still remember you finishing work there - worn out, but with a few more dollars in your pocket than when you started. And after myself finishing a particularly soul destroying gig nearby, completely spent, we would meet & hide in Japan Village a few doors down until our souls were full of edamame & ramen. Only to be followed by a cheeky session at Cow & Moon (before it was cool) and a copious amount of debriefing & inspiring talks over green jasmine tea in an attempt to get you to NOT give up on what you are (and were) so bloody good at. To see how far you've come in that time and to see you achieving the goals that we both set on those nights is nothing short of spectacular. I am so glad we're both still around to see that happen. You are golden. And I couldn't be prouder of the person you are. Thank you for being the best big sister I ever could have asked for. Love you so much, bro. We miss you, but keep crushing it.
