Thank you for coming here to pat my back, because the moment I saw the last sh*t show H gifted this fandom with I needed some love, probably a hug.

I am not proud of my pov, because what else can be seen there? I mean, I wished Harry’s content never took me to that dark reality in which he was unnecessarily showing off a huge tattoo by his groin: A tattoo that can perfectly be read as OLIVIA, the most recognized despicable partner he ever had & on the other hand the only one he has loved enough to ink her under his skin “forever”, a tattoo that he chose to get when looking miserably sick while walking the world by her side, breaking his fanbase’s hearts step by step: harries, larries & else.

Until here you have read the facts.

If from this point on people feel more comfortable thinking “Olivia” also stands for a pet, a town or a boat name. They can & probably will. Harry’s fans have learned (and I have been there too) to stand on that grey area he & his team created, the Fineline. Ironic ha?! A place in which he is het & gay, dating men & women… even at once, he can be working & on vacation, he can be spotted in different locations at once & be many things…anything & anyone we want him to be.

However, what makes him invencible is this fandom that delivers an unconditional support (which brought me a lot of thoughts about my role here) and lucky Harry (as hard it was for me to come down to this idea & therefore to write it now) always had some villain around to blame.

So yeah, I expected ridiculousness these “resting” days, but never EVER could imagine this. You have to wonder why he never showed it off before, maybe when LOT tickets were announced for instance.

I am a Larrie, no need to say I love them both but I am also a professional, particularly mkt & branding is my area, I have read & learned a LOT about the industry thanks to them, probably like most of us here have, I am also a grown-up, I know how many unexplainable things from the 1D days have been inherited into our days trying to make sense of current situations & because, particularly, H has been involved in so many complex situations I’ve tried to be objective about it, looking for a better understanding despite I don’t like some. It's fine because I am still here. On the other hand, this showed me the raw reality of what the industry demands to be “successful“ in it and how real issues like pressure, money, power & a large number of people relying on just one man, puts an inappropriate responsibility on him.

First, I’d like to say that there is the larries pov but there is also the “world” or the GP too, I can try to justify whatever by looking at it through the larrie glasses but the truth is he came there for the first time and he acted as he did. I love him and that’s why I don’t want others to point at this behavior as disrespectful or poor when he is having an opportunity (that many actors don’t, for instance) of a lifetime. So, it’s not a matter of what a larrie state of mind “should be” or that st*pid octopus’ morals are, it is a matter of caring about a guy whose reputation is already damaged and dragged by the choices he took, the media, his team, the industry, the stunt… far away from who I think he is.

At this time, we were at one of the worst peaks of the stunt he & his so-called “gf” had just put out there the most controversial articles, we had pap pics almost every day, wrong quotes, etc... They got there and H ignored her under a “professional veil” to quit that attitude once they got into the theatre, to go back to spread kisses once again in NY streets later…and the only chance he got to show a bit of who he really is, how despite everything he was going through he is who we know he is… he puts into display this (alow me to name it) game. Don’t forget Harry has been in the industry for more than 10 years, he knows it's folds perfectly. I am telling you, this wasn’t read into considering his stunting state at the moment or his feeling towards despicable OW, I am a Larrie & I was concerned.

When I mentioned controversies, I didn’t imply his level of freedom, but the obvious DWD promo: based on spreading garbage all over. So it would have been nice if, for once, his circle or his moves weren't related to this kind of approach seeking headlines. However, to the general question: is H capable of choosing? Yes (minding ofc the doubt before the extension and consequences of them). Does this imply easiness, comfort, being happy with what the industry demands of this man or not having to deal with complex contracts (including his & the boys 1D’s)??? No. Don’t take me wrong, I am not saying his position is any lighter than it is or it looks like, there is too much involved and is disgusting.

I get how some see this specific moment as a rebellion and give them comfort, I understand it because I was thought like that too & the loop to see through is a bit complex & doesn’t get any better, as you can tell. It helped me a lot to give it a business pov, separate it from my feelings for them or from who I think they truly are, to understand the extent of the circus they (& us consequently) deal with.

I am not looking for an answer breaking down every step under the stunt, because I know too, believe me; but take this ( if you wish) as a wider scope on how things are seen. There is a larger audience (and intention), I chose my side, but that doesn’t erase the others and I mind how he is perceived. Precisely, being a larrie let us see clearly the incoherencies of the artist out there and walking that line is risky for him first. I wish his lame team could make a better, creative and mature strategy to protect him & give us a much healthier experience.

Has this icky (whatever it’s for) tattoo changed your opinion on whether he is lgbtq+? Of course he can still be that and attracted to women, I just never (personally) really found it believable that he was. He’s always read gay to me. The tattoo really threw me for a loop. 😕

No, never. For me these things never get into the bases of “who” I have pictured & built up he is. It triggers me on his (business) approaches, lets say on “how” he behaves or “what” choices he make. What are his limits? Does he have them?

It drives me crazy observing how this fandom loves him deeply, sometimes probably people are too involved, and instead of trying to switch the old trashy tools & narrative, maybe sacrificing a bit of success & popularity by going smoothly, nicely and kindly; how things go with H, leads you to believe he is a victim, not an industry victim but the slavery kind. Something that turns sometimes into “toxic”. I know this is not about us, fans, but the situation gets a bit ugly, in this particular case, when he has looked mad, sad and miserable by her and now you have to question if he was in such a bad shape as he pretended… because who would get a huge tattoo of a colleague at work that makes your life a literal pain, right? (Wont even go into de Larry hipes during that same period)

So it’s more this path that I am walking.

If Harry is gay and has ever liked a woman, or had some het experience or feel attraction for some… We won’t know and it doesn’t really matter

Not everything is promo. Paps are actually a thing. He looks genuinely pissed off to have his picture taken outside a place that's supposed to be safe for celebrities. Just because she's looking for her 5 minutes of fame by opening up her ig, doesn't mean it's planned. Just because DM is looking for clicks on a harry article, doesn't mean it's planned. Just because he's wearing a pleasing bag, doesn't mean it's planned. He wears the same dirty vans for years and no one accuses him of anything. Not everything is promo to try and stay "relevant." He's gonna be at the grammys and brits all within a month. He doesn't need cheap tabloid rumors to get his name in the paper.

I'm sorry to tell you that yes, practically everything you see is planned. The good news is that this is not something negative or that leaves Harry in a bad place (I'm really sorry if you see it that way). Probably using these tactics he is protected and benefits him in various aspects, not only regarding business deals. I am not going to break down everything or refute each of the points you mentioned, it is OK & I respect if you prefer to have another perspective, but I will tell you that one indicator is precisely when this happens in a private or as you called it "artist-safe" place. I will not share marketing fundamentals either, but I recommend this reading below, which seems quite convenient as a starting point.

1. Favourite time of the year: I would say the late spring; when the days start to be longer and the weather is warm enough to enjoy the sunsets outdoor but not too hot. I have to say I am from a southern country, so this period is quite long here.😎

2. Comfort food: I love fancy salads of all kinds, extra points if it contains avocado and cherrys tomatos. Spanish omelet a must!

3. Do you collect something? I wouldn't say it's an unintentional collection but I can't help but gather illustrators' prints, artistic books and all kinds of material for painting, coloring or do calligraphy myself. I couldn’t say an approximate number of pens, markers and others I have around. I've tried to start on the ipad but it's not definitely for me!

4. Favorite drink: I would go with wine, a GOOD one.

5. Favorite song: (from the boys??) I will honor Falling, since it brought me here, in the first place & Fearless from LT…. But this could be a matter for a whole other post.

6. Current favorite: (from the leak?) Keep Driving I love the tune and intrigues me too much. I will add Boyfriends since, maybe or maybe not, I listen to it in sick loops.

7. Favorite fanfic: Help! I have been trying to lighten my novels’ pending list, so it’s been a while and I haven’t read that many, but I will go with Escapade & Our lives Non-Fiction. Each one special for different reasons, but the moment and how I experienced these two probably helped in positioning them in the top ranking.
