Hello ladies and gentlemen, I think it's time to do some long-overdue house keeping. As some of you oldies are aware, I'm sure, this roleplay has always maintained a great standard, and us mods have noticed that the standard is starting to slip a little. I'm sure you'll all agree that all if this is much more enjoyable with a tidy dashboard, so I've just got a few things I'd like you to bare in mind.
1. Keep your posts at a decent length. Now, nobody is expecting an essay from anybody here. However, if somebody makes a starter that's a good few sentences long, try to match them! It makes for great conversation. Similarly, when posting starters for para, please try to make them at least 1-2 paragraphs long. When you applied for your character, we asked you to provide a para sample of this length. It was for a reason! Please maintain this standard, folks.
2. Use proper sentence structure. Again, this isn't an English class and we're not expecting clever sentence structures and eloquent essays from you all. We're also aware that English may not be everybody's first language. But that doesn't serve as an excuse for ignoring punctuation - that's part of every langage. If you end your sentence, use a period/full stop. If you're asking a question, use a question mark. If you're using somebody's name, capitalise the initial. It's simple things like this that make a difference to the tidiness of the dashboard. Please bare it in mind.
3. Picture posts do not cover activity. We welcome picture posts, as it breaks up the dash and looks quite nice. But unless you've told us about a hiatus/semi-hiatus, please don't use a queue of picture posts to substitute for your lack of activity. When it comes to activity checks, they won't be counted.
I think that pretty much covers everything for now. We really don't want to nag you about silly things like this, but I think you'll agree that following these guidelines does actually make an rp more enjoyable. Please like this post once you've read it just so we know who's on board, and thank you very much for being awesome.
