Please don’t scroll past this because it’s a super, super important message. We, as Mods, have been feeling very stuck these past few weeks. Big Brother has been our home for five years now and we’ve loved every second of every day, but we’re worried that plot itself might be heading towards it’s expiration date. This doesn’t mean the end! We’re far too stubborn to let our baby and our Ohana go, but we do feel like some changes need to be made. So! Here’s our idea: Big Brother Reimagined. We’re thinking of taking Big Brother to the outside world. Our recent event showed how much people thrived in a more open environment and that’s piqued our interest. This move would mean contestants of the show would be able to work, travel, dine out, dine in, see their friends and family, and more. The only condition? Everything is still documented. Their lives will still be on camera twenty-four seven and they will still be expected to live separately from their homes, stationed in an apartment block shared by all other contestants. They will still be expected to complete tasks and attend events. There will also still be rules to follow.

This is still an open idea at the moment. Nothing has been decided because we would never, ever want to make these changes without asking our valued member’s input. Therefore, we would love to hear your thoughts! There is a suggestion box here for everyone to post in. Let us know how you feel. Let us know your ideas if you have any yourself. This is also an opportunity to help us help you. If you think there’s anywhere we could improve or any rules we could implement, we want to hear that too. We want to make sure everyone is happy, however, we also want to make sure we’re happy. Mods who don’t feel one hundred percent don’t give one hundred percent and that’s how we’ve been feeling lately which is something we wanna apologise for because you guys deserve one hundred (and ten) percent. I promise we’re working on it. Thank you very much for your time!

It’s a little disheartening that we have to make another post like this, but please try to remember to include a little please and thanks when popping requests, both off anon and on, to the main. We’re mods, not machines. We know as admins there are certain expectations of us. We’re happy to fulfil them. This group means a lot to us and we dedicate a large majority of our spare time to it, which means it’s always nice to be asked to do something. We know it’s very easy to feel comfortable. We’re so glad people do (and we’re also very thankful to anyone who does add this into their requests. It hasn’t gone unnoticed), but a little bit of appreciation goes a long way when you’re putting effort in. Just something to consider when sending requests such as adding starters to the masterlist, posting unfollows/follows, wanting pages updated, etc.

Please, please trust that we know and see things, and we do respond to them as we see fit as Mods. There have been a lot of anons coming to the main as of late and while we appreciate that some people don’t feel comfortable approaching a main off anon, we cannot offer much more reassurance or discussion unless they do. We can promise that we are on top of things, but we won’t answer these kind of messages as we wouldn’t want to put them on the dash for all to see.

Here it is! The big announcement. Firstly, we’d like to say a huge, huge thank you to everyone for getting involved in helping us with our revamp. Your opinion is important to us. Every single suggestion was taken into consideration and we’ve tried to implement as many as possible to ensure this move is something we all enjoy, not just something we did as Admins. We can now confirm that Big Brother will be moving. The contestants are heading to Hollywood, California. They will still live under one roof in a brand new house and they will still be assigned roommates. The door will be open for them to leave for work commitments, dinner commitments, or even just to explore, but the cameras will follow. There will also be a strict curfew and new rules.

Due to their newfound freedom, the house will come with far less luxuries. There will be no more bars. No more pantry. No more cinema. Instead, all contestants will be given a daily budget they must survive on and every two weeks, two lucky contestants will be picked at random to get a separate house budget. It will be up to these two contestants to use this additional budget to buy supplies for the house. This includes groceries, alcohol, toilet paper. Everything. However, they will also have the choice to use this budget for their own agenda without punishment (apart from the angry mob of housemates that might beat down on them!). Guests will not be permitted to visit the house or stay overnight, however, contestants will be able to meet with them outside of curfew times.

Last, but not least, we’ll also be bringing back nominations! Don’t panic. No one is getting evicted. Instead, these nominations will ask all celebrities to vote two contestants every three weeks to suffer house arrest for 72 hours. We’ve been working very hard on our brand new main and are hoping to make this move permanent by the weekend. You won’t be expected to re-apply, but there will be a brief form to coming soon complete just to let us know which characters are following us over and what information needs to be copied. In the meantime, please feel free to continue as normal. Like we said, this is a move, not a reboot, so all plots, connections, characters will stay the same (though we will be offering the option of restarts should anybody feel the need to). Hi, darlings! Please, please be mindful of selective replies. It’s important that all characters are interacting with one another. We do understand that there are occasions when not all replies can be done at the same time, and that’s fine, but please make sure to be answering them as and when you can. The last thing we want is for people to feel left out or worse, ignored. This group has always prided itself in being an Ohana, so let’s keep it that way. Please like this post after reading, so we’re sure everyone sees it.

Change of plan! Because we've seen how excited people are for the parks (and we are too), please feel free to start posting starters at Disneyland too. We'd still love to see those premiere outfits though! And please feel free to post starters at the after party or ranch if you would prefer. Please do not scroll past this because it’s an important message! Drama. Who doesn’t love a slice of drama? Drama can be exciting and it can help build character, but please, please remember that drama isn’t always a positive thing if it goes too far or starts to feel more like an out of character opinion. When this happens, drama can become very stressful and it can even make people feel uncomfortable. Having members feel uncomfortable on the dashboard is never something we want nor will we tolerate. We’ve always worked hard to make sure this group is a safe environment for everyone and it’s important we keep that vibe going. I just wanna take this moment to ask people to please be mindful of what your characters say to other characters, what they say about other characters and how they treat other characters. We all have our different filters and comfort zones when it comes to writing together. If in doubt, message each other! This isn’t a call-out post. It’s just something we’ve noticed over the past few weeks and we wanna acknowledge it. And remember, out of character bizz should never become in-character bizz.
