a lot of vampire media posits them as rich and powerful based on the idea that imbued with immortality you would eventually accumulate some wealth but i think it would be funny if there was a vampire character whose running gag is that they keep losing money because they constantly invest into scammy startups. ala hercule poirot's captain hastings (not a vampire) (to my knowledge)
