and for what it’s worth i think travis did a really excellent job as a dm crafting this world and adapting to where the characters wanted to go

#cbtazgrad #and now they're talking about fitz breaking from his main character syndrome and capitalist perspective of worth YES #granted he does become very very rich after but i'm talking 'capitalist' in a more metaphorical perspective #and i DO think griffin is an exceptional player and dm too #i know i made fun of him a lot but he's really easy to make fun of #but he knows how to be v self aware as a player with an unreliable character and bring a lot more to the game combining those #it's rly fun to listen to

so while listening to the post-grad i’m able to synthesize my thoughts on the reception to taz grad, and i really don’t get why ppl tend to so viciously attack dms on this show or other shows for the mistakes they feel they do make because the whole process of dnd really is a learning experience. and i’d much rather, for both their fulfillment and the content i get to listen to, that someone running or playing a ttrpg feels free to experiment and try some new interesting things and make mistakes (as long as they’re not being obviously careless about how they treat marginalized groups in the process) than do the same things over and over again for fear of the audience response.
