My Opinion on C.C. & LeLouch’s Relationship

Okay so just to clarify, I’m only on Season 2 Ep. 1, so this may change later, but I sorta doubt it.

I don’t know if I’m the only one who feels like this, but I just can’t really understand the “chemistry” these two might have with each other. For most of Season 1, they weren’t very friendly with each other.

LeLouch was usually either annoyed with CC or just viewed her as a coworker, with the two of them knowing about Zero’s identity and working towards accomplishing his goal.

Then, after Mao first attacked Shirley, it caused another crack in their relationship, with LeLouch rightly calling CC out for not being very truthful and keeping VERY IMPORTANT information from him.

Then, they (sorta?) put that behind themselves and continued working on their goal, putting them back on at least semi-friendly terms.

THEN, (out of kinda nowhere if I’m gonna be honest), after CC and LeLouch had the shared memory experience, CC kissed him, and then was suddenly acting like she cared deeply for LeLouch, despite really only caring for him due to their contract.

THEN THEN, (and this is where I’m up to I lowkey paused the episode to write this), she kissed him AGAIN.

Am I missing something? Did these two actually have something going on and I just didn’t catch it? Because for a while, I really thought LeLouch and Shirley were gonna end up together. It just makes more sense in my opinion.

This isn’t me hating on anyone who does like CC x LeLouch, I’m just genuinely confused as to how they suddenly seemed to gain feeling for each other out of nowhere.
