Crystal Caste Jade Moonstone vs Chessex Borealis Clear
These two dice are almost ‘dupes’ for another and are commonly mistaken for the other. The glitter is identical in appearance: green dominant with shifts to gold and blue. The differences lie in the clarity, font, and size.
Clear Borealis: Uses an underline to denote 6 and 9. Has a slight hook on the 7. Higher degree of clarity (usually). Larger dice, very noticeable in certain comparisons. Has the blue-green glow, but is dominant on the surface glitter (green-gold shift).
Jade Moonstone: Uses a dot to denote 6 and 9. No hook on the 7. Dice are smaller, very visible on the d6. Very cloudy, has almost no clarity, but surface glitter is still visible. Tends to ‘glow’ green-blue from the inside, and this glow effect is more dominant than the green-gold shifting glitter on the surface.
