Yellow ~ A treasured memory [ask game closed]
Nikki hopped off the bus into this foreign place, and took a long deep sniff.
“Ooh, yeah. Smell that nature! Oh, that’s the stuff!” She said.
“Uh, well... Hello there little lady.” Said a voice behind her, and she turned around to face them. He was a tall guy, though every adult looked tall to Nikki, with red hair and pine green eyes. “You must be Nikki! My name is David, your camp-”
She cut him off as she bit his hand, causing him to scream. David thrashed his hand about wildly, but Nikki hung on.
“Excuse me?” Said a voice behind them, and David stopped thrashing. Nikki looked over at this kid, she had seen him earlier on the bus. “Is this science camp?”
“No silly!” Confused, Nikki stopped biting David’s hand. “This is adventure camp! Ad-ven-ture! My mom said so! Unless she was lying... again.” She turned back to David. “Sorry about that hand by the way. Just exerting dominance, you know how it goes.”
David laughed nervously and gestured to the new kid. “And you must be Neil! Well, you two will be happy to know that Camp Campbell is both of the-” David was cut off once again, as he got run over by the bus, causing him to scream.... again.
“Stupid prepubescent legs!” Came a frustrated voice from inside the bus.
“Not today, child.” Said the bus driver as he picked up the kid by the hood of his blue hoodie... with a hook hand. “Only one driving this bus is me.”
“Ugh.... Thank you, Quartermaster!” Said David after the Quartermaster put the kid back on the ground.
“You’re on your own now.” QM said as he pointed his hook hand at David. “Goin’ on break! Be back for the bus at noon!” He walked off with a jug of poison an unknown liquid in his hook.
David watched him go, then looked down at the kid with the hoodie. “Max! You are not leaving my sight for the rest of the day!”
“We’ll see about that, Camp Man!” Said the kid, Max.
“So, what’s your deal?” Neil asked.
Max sighed and put his hand on Neil’s shoulder. “I’m just a kid trying to survive out here, Neil.”
Nikki felt excited and was eager to spend more time at this camp, and maybe make a few friends.
“Now let’s go check out the camp, kids!”
