@pridexlands sent an owl: A ‘ please don’t go ’ hug - Hogwarts era
“Danny,” she breathed his name quietly, as their foreheads touched together. He’d been sitting on her bed while she packed some of her things for the journey. He pulled her away from her wandering back and forth across her room, idly picking out weather appropriate clothing and magical items she could fit in her bag to hug the semi-frantic witch. She was so anxious she was calm, like her brain overrode the anxiety into a numb demeanor to keep her from losing it. This whole thing was nuts. Harry and Prue agreed that they would do what it takes to see this through but the reality of leaving her friends and family was hitting hard now while she packed. Not to mention Danny, sitting her, asking her not to go at all. Like she wanted to. Like she had a choice in it.
The witch’s arms were wrapped securely around the lion’s torso, thighs against her mattress as she leaned into his embrace. “You know I’d stay if I could...you know why I can’t. This is something we have to do, Harry and I. It’s our fight. We have to finish this...for all of you. For us.” For Hogwarts.
Given the choice, Prue would much rather finish out Hogwarts and see her last year through with her friends, like every other student before them. She wanted to graduate and choose a career and enjoy her final year like any other witch at Hogwarts. The fact that she would be missing out on so much bothered her alone but to not be able to do it all with Danny... to say goodbye, it hurt her deeply. Knowing that she would have to go so long without seeing him or talking to him..he was her best friend. Her soulmate, really. She didn’t want to leave him.. but it was in everyone best interest, him included, for her to do this. Otherwise, nothing they’d done so far would mean anything..They would all be dead or worse...
“I have to leave tomorrow... Please...please don’t tell my parents that I’m not at school. I don’t want them worrying...they’ve got enough to worry about with...well, everything going on.”
