A small shift in the air, barely noticeable, appeared. And then a kid walked out of it. Well, at least you could describe it as a kid, in looks. From height, you could probably guess they were 13 or 14 but in reality they were about 17. Their messy bright brown hair melted into the broken warehouse behind them, the brightest feature their periwinkle and alice blue eyes, yet almost white. They wore jeans, one ripped at the knee, the other scratched, an a purple and blue striped jumper underneath a dark indigo jacket which had one sleeve almost ripped off. Their boots were scuffed but other than that it was probably the most clean out of all of the clothes. A backpack also rested on their back.
They blinked a few times and then looked up at the broken warehouse. A white sheen glazed over their eyes for a second before they went over to the door and slowly pushed it open, unlocked, to his relief. Darkness met his eyes but he didn't really care, he was used to it. He stepped forward quietly and brushed lightly past dust to 2 plain mattresses that sat in the middle. He looked at the second one. A sewing needle and blue thread sat there, different to the rest of the place. He bent down and picked them up. They were pretty sharp, if small, he thought, as he twisted it around his fingers. Perhaps it would be good if he had to pickpocket someone or pick a lock. As for the string.. he stopped for a second, staring out into space. Maybe he could try to sew. No, that wouldn't be good. He placed his eyes back on the needle and placed it carefully on the ground next to him.
The boy turned to his right next. Nothing lay on this mattress, which confused him a little. Even so, he shoved his hands underneath it and hauled it up, not knowing what to expect. And there sat a brightly coloured kazoo.
He blinked a few times before stifling a laugh, putting one hand to his mouth then coughing because of the dust. Still giggling, he reached out with his hand and pulled it out from underneath the mattress, letting it sit in his hand as the mattress fell to the floor with a flump, scattering dust everywhere.
"Really, Nightmare?" He asked to himself quietly, still laughing as he turned it around in his fingers as he had done with the needle and thread. Nope, he had never heard Nightmare play this. Maybe he did and he was zoned out or something, he'd never know. He gave a light grin before placing it back on the floor and getting up, his eyes next directed at the mattress sitting in the corner. This time, he could see something. And he knew what it was, even if it confused him.
A black scarf. He picked it up. Dust quickly layered his hand as he stared at it. Was he even wearing this when he went out? He probably would've.. then again, he might've just done with the bandanna. Scarves are a little uncomfortable, after all. The boy gave a light sigh as he sat down, brushing dust off his hands with a shiver. These were the things he had left? ..he gave another sigh, annoyed with himself and the others. Yet they couldn't help it.
He quickly returned to the other 2 mattresses, black scarf in hand. He then slid his backpack off and onto the floor. It was a goodish size, and looked like it could hold a decent amount of stuff.
He unzipped the top zip, revealing a mass of things below it. A dark blue, thinnish looking blanket rested, folded if a little untidily, at the bottom of the of the bag. Upon it, and tucked slightly in it, were 3 jars of silvery-grey dust. One was labelled Error. The next was labelled Cross, and the last labelled Nightmare. In a pocket, a bright blue bandanna, another which was black and had a white x on it, and the last was yellow-orangish.
The kid gave a sigh and reached in to unzip a smaller pocket on the side. He placed the needle and thread into one pocket and placed the kazoo into another. The black scarf he tied around his neck. No one would make any connections, hopefully.
Ky stood up, zipping up the bag and putting it back on then turning towards the door. Perhaps he could find solace in Underswap, he didn't know. But until, he would work on his revenge.
Vengeance.
