Contingency Contract Battleplan #2: Underdawn - My thots
Honestly I'm glad this gamemode is getting semi-retired.
It feels like they have run out of ideas, with fewer maps giving an interesting challenge.
I have seen people accuse it of having "lock and key" type gameplay and I increasingly have to agree. So many maps basically have 2-3 obvious operators who can trivialize it, and then it's a massive pain in the ass trying to do it any other way. The 620 requirement plus the risk grouping system results in very little diversity in ways to achieve high risk. It's more a question of which small handful of risks you managed to avoid than anything else.
I'm not opposed to Contingency Contract coming back at some point in the future, but only once HG feels like they have some good ideas for it, instead of just out of obligation to have their 4x/year CC.
