CLE CCC Cream first impressions
Hello there! Today I’m doing a first impression/review of a CCC cream which is something I’ve never done on here before. I’m not really a makeup person, but when I found out about this product that is basically skincare disguised as makeup, I had to give it a try! Sorry, this isn’t going to be some beautifully structured review with the pros and cons in a list, I’m just going to write some things I noticed and my experience using this for the first time. Ok, let’s get right to it then...
You can find the brand and its products here, where it writes “CCC Cream, which stands for Color Control & Change, is a multi-functional BB cream and CC cream, combining the various benefits of all-in-one skin care, foundation, primer and sun protection”. Sounds like a dream, right? Here are my first impressions and thoughts on the product...
> It’s light to medium coverage, depending on the condition of your skin. I have some present acne and some scaring and it covered some of it. It really evened out my skin tone and took away the redness I tend to get around my smile lines. Didn’t do anything extra amazing in terms of covering/smoothing out pores though. When applied correctly, it really doesn’t look like makeup in my opinion, it really just looks like your skin but better! It has a nice dewy finish, similar to natural skin. If you have very little skin problems or already have clear, smooth skin - this will look even better on you. If you have acne or other texture problems, don’t expect a full coverage foundation out of this. Overall, it does more color correcting than it does improving skin texture, which is what I was expecting. I found this lasted all day and didn’t transfer onto my hands when I touched my face which is a plus. It didn’t crease on me either.
> I found that it stuck to my dry patches or areas with flaky skin, which I am having a lot of due to these colder days. If this isn’t a problem for you, don’t worry about it. But my dry, flaky skin types out there: make sure to really exfoliate and moisturize before applying this. It didn’t look bad from a distance, but once you looked closer you could see the ccc cream clinging to the flaky, dry skin-not a good look. I think this is great for all skin types, but I think my normal to oily skin types out there would especially suit this product. Those with dry skin will just have to remember to stay moisturized and exfoliated.
> I think this would be perfect for anyone like myself looking for a product that acts like makeup but feels like skincare. I didn’t want anything too complicated or with a lot of steps, I just wanted something to improve my skin - not necessarily cover it. I personally don’t wear makeup on a daily basis but this ccc cream is perfect because it’s so quick and easy to apply and gives me a little more coverage and evens my skin tone. This is obviously just my preference, but in general I think anyone looking for a natural everyday look would like this.
> I applied this with my fingers like the website suggested, then I went over it with a damp beauty blender just to make sure it was fully spread out. You don’t need a lot of this, I learned this the hard way when I applied too much and it looked a bit cake-y up close. Again, I’m not experienced with makeup at all, so this was really a learn-as-I-go type of experience lol. I also noticed it looked best a little while after I applied it. I think it needed a bit to really absorb into the skin, but once it did it gave a very beautiful, natural, dewy finish!
> This tiny tube isn’t the cheapest at $30 a piece, but I think its such a great product that it’s worth the price. I know on the CLE website, you can get 20% on your first order so definitely take advantage of that. I also think if you are unsure about your best shade, you can contact CLE and they will help you find your shade.
Okay, I think that’s all I have to say on this product (feel free to ask me more if you still have questions), but overall I really like this and can see myself repurchasing once I’ve run out. Sorry I didn’t show any swatches or a before and after or anything like that, I didn’t feel like it would be extremely useful to you guys and honestly, I’m quite lazy at the moment! Anyways, to anyone that has been on the search for a good, everyday bb cream, cc cream, or any one of those letter creams, I think you’ll really like this one. Thanks for reading~ xoxo, sundayskin
