Spilled a glass of soda on my keyboard.  For 20 minutes it typed the letter 'c' repeatedly.  Now the only key that works is the letter 'h'.  

Did not have documents backed up because I am an idiot.

Sat in quiet desperation until husband came home and magically managed to retrieve my documents via some sorcery called "wi fi" in spite of the fact I had tried to restart my computer and couldn't enter the password because of aforementioned "c" problem.

I have my documents now. Writing can continue. I will not require industrial strength sedatives. Computer is hopefully still under warranty.

I am currently typing this on my old computer which has the screen held on by duct tape.  

Time for a great deal of alcohol. Next chapter may be delayed a bit.

I would add an angst filled gif, but they are trapped in my non functioning laptop.
