CHIN UP NOW THE LORD HATES A QUITTER
5l29l2015
Ariah started climbing out of her crib, to avoid her getting hurt in the middle of the night, we put up her toddler bed. She was excited, this was a well overdue task that we just weren’t ready to go through with quite yet. The reason to why she started climbing out of her crib (I believe) is because she is deathly afraid of the dark. She wakes up screaming, literally, the first time she woke up like this I actually thought she was either hurt or someone was in her room with her. It was scary for me as her mother and she was terrified. I was hoping the toddler bed would have helped, but the same thing happened. She wouldn’t even lay back down in her bed, so she slept with us. So, to put it lightly we have had a very stressful week. Any advice from mamas would be greatly appreciated.
Forthcoming in 2015
Here’s what I’m looking forward to in 2015, at least so far:
1. I’ve been invited to guest lecture on Milton at a state university in Brazil. I will be presenting a paper that analyzes Milton’s Areopagitica using Robert Brandom’s analytic pragmatism. Here’s an abstract:
“Pragmatics in the Public Square: Robert Brandom and Milton’s Areopagitica“
Robert Brandom’s Between Saying and Doing(2008)…
