You’re so concerned Darren and Chris might not be the characters you’ve made them out to be that you have dedicated entire blogs to hating on the people in their lives.

But let’s set that aside, because this is about why some of us speak up against that:

Your hateful conspiracy theories bleed into where they can be seen by the rest of us. If they didn’t, nobody would be trying to argue with you.

We’re forced to see your hate when looking over SM mentions, tags or comments and CRINGE with the fact that these people are part of our fandom and that they would treat the subjects of our fandom this way.

I don’t care if YOU have never personally addressed them on social media, your words FUEL those actions and this cult-like behaviour.

Some of us would like to do what can we can to fight this by shedding light on your fallacies and their broader socio-political implications.

Fandom experience is about enjoyment. When I am a fan of something it’s to enjoy, to critique in a constructive way, to escape into, etc.

Tinhats hinder that when we are unable to avoid seeing the consequences of their meddling and theorizing in the form of aggressive and entitled behaviour born of dehumanization. A behavior that frankly misrepresents us as fans.

To employ the words used by Chris Colfer on Stranger than Fanfiction page 106: tinhats “[give] fandom a bad name.”

You are posting for everyone to read. People are going to read it and have opinions. There’s options if you don’t want this to happen (like making your blogs private).

I am posting for everyone to read, too. I’m gonna keep rebutting your arguments when I find them troublesome. I don’t mind repeating myself when you refuse to read counterarguments.

I’ll keep tagging for anyone who might be open to challenging their confirmation bias. That’s it.

I haven’t stalked anybody’s friends and family looking for things to twist to back  up lies. I haven’t made misogynistic remarks about anyone and insulted their appearance.

CCers and Donald Trump both love to rage and spin up their followers but neither knows how to handle the anger they generate

If you are going to spend your time frothing up your followers into an angry hornets nest of hate and frustration, you have to be prepared for dealing with that anger.  The current crop of “leaders” have no idea. They acting righteously indignant when the anger comes back on Darren. If they spend any amount of time reading what they wrote with a critical eye they would see that everything expressed by crissvoncolfer reflects the various tropes ccers love so much. Crissvoncolfer is missing the crucial step after hearing all of Darren’s failures one is supposed to immediately feel pity for Darren and blame those who surround him but NEVER DARREN. Nothing Darren does is his responsibility.

The ccers are like republicans -they want to find fault with everything he does, blame everyone around him for his failures but then give him mountains of credit for his successes. It’s like the American Capitalism under republicans- privatized profits and socialized losses (need proof- look no further than the bailout packages that went to mega wealthy corporations (a few which were caught and did give the money back), airlines, and now they are pushing for the automobile industry next but we CANNOT afford socialized medicine and we need to make cuts to social security-something we pay into- and Medicare- something that works -after they gave billionaires a huge tax cut).  

I really want to point out Notes post because it offeneded me the most.  Chrisdare is again speaking for all the gays while pretending she isn’t and Cassie is playing a version of “I’m not racist because I have black friends” switched to “Darren isn’t hurting the LGBTQ community by hiding in the closet because so many gay people say he’s nice”.  If Darren did all the things they claim ccDarren does, he would be pretty toxic. It’s not about letting him come out on his own terms, it’s about the many lies ccDarren has spun in order to protect his truth... all while living with Chris. Claiming that young gay kids wouldn’t be harmed by his message of “being gay is awesome but I”m straight”.  It’s one thing to hide in the closet publically but to get married in a lavish wedding week and to speak so freely on his wife and happy marriage make him ineligible for his ccstatus as an innocent gay icon who’s just too scared to come out this month, year, decade...maybe in the next decade?  

As for Cassie- maybe quarantine is getting to her...too much time with her dream lover?

chrisdarebashfulsmiles You know I’m tired of this. I can’t talk for all the lgbt community but my opinion is it would be hypocritical by people of our community being judgmental shit towards D.

I’m part of it and I don’t care what he has to do most of the time because the struggle is real and I know how hard can be in some environment to be not out for whatever reason. And I’m only a pan person who can talk like a straight one like R/aymond A/insley of HW seems white in the industry.

I don’t think that the community thinks D is good only when he helps to raise money… Otherwise shame on us as community… Really.

Let’s stop saying that he already looks like an asshole for a big part of the lgbt community. I don’t think we have made a poll to know for sure about it. What I see, personal experience, to be pressed about him are most of the time straight relative or friends of lgbt people who think they can dictate when that man has to publicly come out for their consumption and don’t really understand what a coming out could mean.

As far as I can see in every lgbtq forum checked since 2013 I’ve always found that most of the people fantasize about tap him and don’t care if he’s not out for the public.

I think we should all take a big breath and count at least until 100 before deciding to talk in the name of the community.

You think D’s is looking like an asshole? Be my guest I have no problem about it. You are part of the lgbtq community? Good. This is your opinion, valid as mine.

Cassie is in full fanfiction mode this week. First of all, Ricky is Darren’s manager, not his agent and I have never heard the ccers once complain about his agent (most likely because they know nothing about him and can’t stalk him on social media). Agents, not managers, help actors get roles-talk to casting agents, get scripts, negotiate contracts etc. The manager is in charge of helping the entertainment plan out their career, make decisions, etc but they aren’t involved in negotiating for roles or money.  That’s all the agent’s responsibility and it is in fact  illegal for the manager to assume those duties.  

The ridiculous idea that Ricky got Darren all the jobs the ccers hate and Darren on his own did all the rest is naive and just plain stupid. We don’t know how any of it went down.  We know that Darren was friends with JCM so that certainly helped with Hedwig and he met with Ryan Murphy about Hollywood and ACS but we know nothing about how he got most of this jobs. In truth Darren gets all his own roles, including Girl Most Likely and Smitten because they are hiring Darren to play the character, not his team but as Darren has said many times, it takes his entire team to keep everything working. It would be physically impossible for Darren to carry out all the duties his manager and agent take on in order to keep Darren Criss Inc. going. He can’t act, write music, create a show, perform and also handle the business end of things.

If Darren had a team for 10 years who did nothing for him, mistreated him, sabotaged his career and got him shitty roles and “lined their pockets with his money -he’s a complete moron and a fool. Just because Cassie wants it to be true doesn’t mean it is. It’s just like Don’s fantasy trope  “Coronavirus will miraculously go away” Donald Trump 5/20 

Also, another Newbie? The sky’s the limit? What exactly is Darren not doing that they want to see him doing right now? He’s doing pretty damn well.

Cassie: Nonnie, under normal circumstances with a competent and professional team, yes. D’s team is neither of those things and has spent the majority of his career not only watching him be mistreated, but actively participated in it. Every big job D had gotten, he got on his own. RR got him that movie based in Italy with the cow and possibly GML. He gets him copious amounts of advertisements. That’s really it. The ads are just so the team lines their pockets.

D got G/lee, How To, H/edwig, ACS, and HW on his own, and dare I say, in spite of his team. He also developed and brought to life EF. Just IMAGINE what he will do when he has a team that actually works FOR him and has HIS best interests at heart. Sky’s the limit for him.

So sometimes D does things that make me smile.

So I was looking at the step swi/iller leaked wedding pic and I notice that D is wearing the suit he wore to the Trev/or Live 2013. Look at the check joins on the sleeve seam which matches also the buttons are in the same place and the check matches again. So it’s the same suit.

Do I think it’s a deliberate choice ?...yes.

It’s not like he can talk about the TP now (even with fans), but him wearing this suit reminded me of how D talked so eloquently about the TP back in 2013 and it contrasts so heavily with how he’s been made to distance him from it.

I thought the video below was a good reminder just in case his fans forget how support he was of TP at one time.

how entertainment media works

People Magazine exists to make money. Period. They make money by selling ads. In the print magazine that means literal print ads. They sell subscriptions because each subscription is a guarantee to their advertisers that X number of people will see their ad. The more people subscribed -the more money they can charge. With the website, the ads are clickable links but even if you don’t click the ad, they want to keep you clicking on People stories as long as possible because you see more ads.

 Ok, so now we know what motivates them when they are writing stories-MONEY. They need to produce content to make money and they need to produce content that people are interested in aka the hottest stars and hottest shows, stars and their families, the most screwed up stars and reality stars, murder, death, and feel good stories compromise People’s formula. 

Hollywood is a no-brainer for them to cover because Patti LuPone, Ryan Murphy, Jeremy Jordan, Darren Criss, Rob Reiner, and lots of beautiful people. So they do a cute story with Darren. The world is in quarantine so shows aren’t being made and nobody is walking red carpets or attending galas and celebs are staying home. They can’t do photoshoots and they aren’t hearing about big breakups because people aren’t out and about. They have very little to cover right now and everyone is looking for feel good stories. Darren’s first anniversary just passed, everything Darren has said publicly since his wedding has been about how happy he is being married and how much he loved the wedding. IDK whether it came up in the conversation or Darren was asked about his marriage, but they got some good quotes that make a great happy story and they got another page of content during the Covid shutdown. Most fans love seeing stories about celeb’s personal lives (even if their significant other has “No claim to fame”)  so the story will be popular which all together make the story a no-brainer.

The clickable links to old stories are to keep you clicking. The more Darren stories they can put in front of your eyes the longer they may keep you on People’s website looking at those ads. 

Darren’s team isn’t planting the Mia stories and the old recommended stories- anyone suggesting that sounds like a complete loon- in fact, they sound like the “‘Merica Freedom” people protesting the lockdown by congregating at the state Capitol- INSANE. The crisscolfer storyline is not backed up by any credible evidence- not one shred of evidence just like the protesters who scream “This is a hoax” or better yet “the Democrats did this”. If you are going to stand up and be an asshole over something you now nothing about, at least try to sound educated. Understand of what you speak instead of making it up in your head to be whatever it is you need it to be. ”It will miraculously go away” “I hear that bleach kills the virus, are we looking into that as a treatment? You can look into that?” Just like Donald, your sycophants will never tell you how crazy you sound but you both sound like fools. 

BTW- Darren and Chris are Also listed as “audience members” on IMBD for Dancing with the Stars so please let that go.

How is anyone supposed to take you seriously when you quit every job you’ve ever had handed to you, or they simply take it from you because you suck so much at it? Or when you have an IMBD page that lists you as an audience member for a reality dance competition show? Her whole existence is a bad joke. Which would be fine, if she was even a halfway decent person. She’s not. She’s like a negative postal worker. Nothing stops them, not snow, not wind, nor sleet, nor hail, nor a deadly virus. In her case, nothing stops her narcissism, not a fake resume, not a “husband” that refuses to willingly touch her, or makes his feelings of disgust clear, not a “mother in law” that expresses a desire to attend an awards show with her famous son, not even the death of her “father in law.” Her complete lack of compassion is incomprehensible. Even most of her paid friends posted messages of love and respect for his dad. What did she do? Made sure, once again, that it’s all about HER. She couldn’t have HER red carpet moments to be an utter embarrassment for HW, so she settled for pap walks and making his father dying about her and her awful party, finding a way to make herself the victim that sacrificed everything to stand by D’s side when he was chasing his dream and ignoring her, oh, and as an added bonus, they changed the fucking timeline AGAIN.

Was this harsh? Yes. Do I give a fuck? No. It’s inconceivable to me that you could take one of the worst things to happen to someone and make it about you.

chrisdarebashfulsmiles If a pandemic is not enough to make us think we are in a very absurd time, we have p/eople, in the most wrong time publishing articles ( work ethic for the love of God...it's possible to postpone something if the time is wrong) that instead of talking about works, makes the wedding like a life goal more important than everything else. I saw a scanned page, I refuse to give a visit to them.

I would like to say to team shit that this is the wrong way to work on the reputation of a client. Because, D is your client, not the wife.

Technically speaking, about her they are doing good, if we put aside the timeline. We are the problem, because we care only about him.
