for curiosity’s sake.

he pulls the blanket closer, gathering it up in his arms and snuggling into the softness of it just for a moment before wrapping it around his shoulders. jinyoung cocoons himself into the fleece, tucking his feet up on the couch and leaning comfortably against his friend. he has chills. nothing unusual for the plague card, but uncomfortable in this human body nonetheless. the warmth from both the blanket and daehwi’s body comfort him and he sighs contentedly.
the movie plays on. both boys’ eyes seem glued to the screen, drinking in the story of some girl and the guy who gets meaningful closeups whenever he looks at her. jinyoung wonders the significance; he wonders what the guy is thinking. his own thoughts are surely different from the character’s, annoyed with the female lead for being ungrateful to the people in her life. he supposes all humans are rather selfish; the show would be better if it were cards. cards were practical, for the most part. they knew how to get things done.
“why’d you pick this movie?” jinyoung speaks for the first time, interrupting the ambient sounds of some background track as the dialogue takes a break in the movie in favor of some lovely shots of the scenery. “it doesn’t make sense.”
