I'm not great about keeping track of photos, but once in a while I do and can put together treasures like this. This is Taro, a young male Border Collie. He has a very dedicated mom who thought doing fitness would be fun, but also understood that with all the activities Taro does (agility, sheep herding, hiking, swimming and play dates) he needed to be more balanced than he was. I'm not going to get into all the nit picky things, but at 10 months later Taro's posture, strength, speed, stamina, and flexibility have all improved by leaps and bounds. Interesting note: I don't work with Taro. His mom does. I decide on and design the exercises, I guide, coach, and modify. She and Taro do all the real work. SO WHAT? I asked JoJo to do something different, then go back to what she was doing before. Can you see it? Can you see how what she did affected how Taro did the exercise? Good form trumps everything IMHO. Without it you can't be sure what muscles are really being targeted, and if a compensatory pattern is being developed, or reinforced.
