We’ve officially made it to our first ever bi-weekly development task! Every two weeks there will be a task posted to help you with your character growth and development. These tasks will always be optional, but we highly encourage members to participate because we feel it’s so important to continually work on developing and growing your characters as the roleplay progresses!
DEVELOPMENT TASK 001: GET TO KNOW ME
We want to get to know your muse a little better, so this task will focus on bringing out qualities and backstory for your muse that you can explore in any of the ways listed below (or any way you feel is best for you/your muse). Feel free to utilize some or all of these suggestions and have fun with this task as you headcanon and grow your muse this week.
Please be sure to tag all task posts as #cchq.task
Questionnaire; linked you will find a number of questionnaires that you can repost and answer questions/fill in the blanks, etc about your character to help show more about them. ( questions ) ( questions ) ( bold what applies )
Moodboards; these are a great way to showcase major elements of your muses personality, relationships, background, etc. You can post a moodboard with 9 gifs that showcase whatever it is you want to express about your muse. Here’s an example of a ‘general’ personality moodboard.
Aesthetics; much like moodboards, aesthetic edits are a great way to visualize aspects of your character’s personality. You can find images using pinterest or other photo sites to create a ‘collage’ of sorts to showcase elements of your character you want to highlight. Here’s an example of a ‘general’ personality aesthetic edit.
Headcanons; if graphics aren’t your forte, you are free to write about your headcanons for your character, they can be as silly and fleeting as talking about your character’s favorite television programs, or as deep as revealing a big secret that your muse is hiding from people - run with this idea and post whatever you would like!
Self paras; self paras or drabbles are always an amazing way to show snippets of your character’s life in a very effective way. If there’s specific events in your character’s past that are of importance to who they are today, writing a self-para is a great way to show us about them!
Welcome to CCHQ’s very first task - that’s right this is a pre-acceptance task. This task is not mandatory and will not affect your application status negatively if you do not participate, this is simple just a fun way to explore your character a little bit more and to give potential applicants a glimpse into the types of development we will be exploring during the course of the roleplay.
If you should choose to participate as an applicant, be sure to tag your post as #cchq.apply so that it will be considered as part of your application should you choose to opt in.
PRE-ACCEPTANCE TASK - IT’S THE LITTLE THINGS
“It’s the little details that are vital. Little things make big things happen.” - John Wooden
Here at CCHQ we believe that it’s the little details that can really help a character come to life, it’s the small headcanons that make a character realistic and by implementing those headcanons into everyday life, you can really differentiate yourself as a creative and thoughtful writer because your muse becomes well-rounded and layered. This task is meant to celebrate and explore those ‘little things’ that make your character who they are.
Check out the questions below and post responses to them in any format you’d like, (this could be answered in character or as headcanon-type answers, or even in graphic form - whatever you feel most comfortable with). You can answer as few or as many of these questions as you like - there is no wrong way to do this task, just have fun exploring and diving into your character in a fun, new, interesting way! We can’t wait to see what you come up with! Enjoy!!
