I think I’m on a trend... crying at concerts • Right before I got my transplant, I told myself, I never want to forget how this feels, to be dying. I never want to forget it, because I never want to take living for granted • The last concert I went to before I got my lungs was @dixie_chicks , I couldn’t breathe, I couldn’t sing, people were smoking around my oxygen tank, I cried because I couldn’t • So, last night as I was soaking in the moment, I cried because I CAN, and I’m so grateful for the chance to live • Not everything has been peachy since transplant, this summer at CCMF, I missed @kanebrown_music because my blood pressure got too high and I couldn’t stop throwing up, I was so bummed because I couldn’t wait to see him perform... It’s like Dre handpicked me to win the tickets to last nights show • Then, when Kane sang “Heaven”, I thought about how I was headed there 2 years ago, and I couldn’t think of anything better than being here, living my life... Then @bradpaisley sang “last time for everything” and that got me again, because it’s SO TRUE. I see people dying around me everyday, in the CF and transplant community.
