Tonight the review is a bit late, but nonetheless I'm watching "Åkes nya vän" with Emil Eriksson and Anton Liu Wie Chien. It's a Swedish movie about a lonely guy who finds a new friend on the street - literally.
The movie starts out slow, but the pacing really builds up the atmosphere of a small town where there's not really much to do. The actors are very good and they are amazing as the two unexpected friends and the filming and editing really bring to life the everyday situations that the pair ends up in.
Overall, this is a nice family movie, although it can be a tearjerker, that really shows how important it is to have a friend and what we all can learn from each other. It is well made and fits almost everyone, except maybe for the very young, as it contains one scene that might be considered a bit too frightening for really young audiences. I give this beautiful and heart-warming drama 4/5 points.
