Make Solutions Technics Faceplates
Technics 1200 turntables are something that most of us will keep rather than sell. The exception is the person who would much rather have the money than the turntables – they can sell for much higher now (in any condition). Of course, if you are in the market for turntables, there are much better options that can be had. Newer turntables typically have things like adjustable torque and reverse features – something that Technics never tried to implement. The only trouble I find with my decks is that they are boring. Silver is sort of a boring color these days, and flat black isn’t much better when you think about it. Those who want to have something of their own really only have two options. They can either get them custom painted, or they can apply some sort of faceplate that gets the job done. I think the second option is sort of tacky. A quick visual inspection makes it obvious that these are covers and not any real custom work. Paining turntables is not, on the other hand, any easier to do. It requires a lot of work and therefore most people will pay to have them done. http://djworx.com/review-make-solutions-technics-faceplates/
