Why is steg a controversial fusion? I was watching old youtube analysis videos and they mentioned steg being "bad" but didnt expand on it at all. I could take a few guesses why but i want to know what exactly people have to say about it and im hoping u might be able to answer this 🙏
My main feeling with Steg is that I wasn't a fan of the character design. Overall, I'm kinda meh about him. But I've seen some people finding fusion a weird thing for a parent and child to do (or that it felt weird to them as a viewer). Or that they weren't expecting it. I've also seen takes of people saying his design kind of embodies the strength of the bond between Steven and Greg, which I guess I could see.
That's sort of a half answer sorry haha, but I'll end by saying if you like him (or don't), that's cool and totally your opinion.
Awhile ago I realized that I haven't watched the entire series start to finish since it aired, and even then had all the breaks between seasons and stuff. I've been waiting for the "right time" to start that rewatch--now's the time!
So when is someone gonna splice audio of Sarah Stiles from Hazbin Hotel into Spinel animation? Create a new kind of chaos.
An active su blog in 2024? Let’s freaking goooo!!!!
Haha, semi occasionally active 😅 But I love this show, and I'm currently in the middle of a full series rewatch, so the thoughts are fresh once again.
In one episode of the Steven Universe podcast (Steven Selects: Storm in the Room) the crew being interviewed mentioned how often times they used the presence of Connie's mom as a device to contrast Steven's lack of/complex feelings about his mom without having to explain the entire backstory to someone watching an episode without the greater context. I always saw the comparison of Connie and her mom to Steven and Rose, but it's interesting to think about how it was intentionally used to quickly explain something. As the crew said, any episode could be somebody's first.
One week ago today, I married my Love. Our first dance was to Love Like You 🥰
Man, I haven't watched So Many Birthdays in a while.
What a ride
