Now caught up with Precure, just in time for the Eclair mystery finale tomorrow! Though at this point it hardly feels like a mystery, like how can it be anyone else than Kurea? It could be that she's just a red herring, but I think I'll rather believe that the mystery was made easy enough for the kids in the target audience to solve.

However, while Shiruku and Eriza are easy to ignore, what are they going to do with Rei? It's difficult to come up with a satisfying conclusion for her if she doesn't get to be a Precure after her drama in her focus episode...

...hey, I know! Kurea was the original Eclair, but now Rei gets to be a new one!

My rankings for who is the most likely candidate:

Eriza

The candidates in the order I like them:

Rei - I like how serious and determined she is

Kurea - she's ok but not much else

Shiruku - I think she works for a "cool big sister" supporting character, but I'm not sure if I'd like her as a main character

Eriza - actively don't like her, her quirkiness feels forced

And let's do a civilian design ranking for them too:

Eriza - cute clothes, green, I like the braid

Rei - glasses, green

Kurea - I like patisseries I guess

Shiruku - looks ok but rather simple

How does transportation work in Horizon Phase? Are cars still a thing in this universe?

Cars are definitely still a thing! But FAR less common. Since the world is so flooded mining for oil/fuel and metals is difficult, so older model cars make up like 80% of cars that people have, if they have them at all. Modern cars with tablet displays are practically nonexistent besides the hyperwealthy who can afford to find and pay for components to fix them, but the bulk of vehicles are old models from the 80's/90's and 2000's that have been retrofitted into trucks and towers capable of bringing goods around. Most passenger travel is done by transit, or motorcycles, mopeds, and scooters. The transit has become quite well established for the city the kids gather in, since it's built on so many different levels, the city has to get creative about people-moving. It's a combo of gondolas, subways with transition into monorails and suspended train services, trams and industrial elevators. On the wharf, people with powers often power gondolas for a small fee or power machinery that take people over the retaining wall. I think there are only a few characters among the entire cast who own land vehicles. Garrote has Rivven's old car stored away in a warehouse somewhere which is an old Trans Am, Shimi owns a modified 1980's Datsun which he's frankensteined the engine of from leftover parts from other jobs or ones he's traded for, but he gets around doing parts deliveries on a delivery scooter, his father owns a small tower. Roads are quite narrow due to the overcrowding and unofficial building when the first wave of people settled, so thin vehicles like Shimi's Datsun, Kei trucks, and peddlecars are really the only ones that can navigate the smaller streets~

Honestly as SAD as it is I be waiting for people to get bored of me cause it eventually happens

Idk, maybe it's causes I don't have many friends in real life so I gotta pick up the slack myself low-key think being online so much ruined me cause it has really helped me much I feel inadequate to like everyone
