Little Moe give this album a nine in the full proof, "Yo, this music is so good it made me take a nap " scale. This scale is used by all major reviewers. The album was so soothing and music so relaxing she fell right asleep within two songs, despite Lou Reed singing... This album is extremely under appreciated from "She's My Best Friend" to the title track, "Coney Island Baby." Not a single bad track, you really see Lou starting to lean to a more of a jazz sound. Both Lyrically and musically the album rocks and does not let you down. A true Lou Reed piece. One song on the LP may take time to get use to, "Kicks." But other then that 6 min tune whereby Lou is singing and playing music over the what it sounds like people in a club, the is a well-worth listen. Just to note the song Kicks employs the same production as the VU tune "Murder Mystery." Lou may not be a gift to the women of this world, but this album is definitely a gift to this world.
