@ceaselcss ( emma / jonathan ! )
Lately, Emma had been thinking a lot about death, and what came after. In a world where death didn’t always mean it would be the last time you would see someone, it wasn’t like the concept of death was too terrifying. At least, when it came to things that would kill of a mortal. But in a world where the immortal were fighting in one eternal battle, they were fighting against so much more than this. Immortals like themselves, or semi immortal like her, were easily able to take each other out.. and once they died from that... there was no coming back. Sat upon the roof of her house, she could hear the conversation of her family in the house. They were blissfully unaware of what was happening, and she’d deliberately kept it that way. She didn’t need her family fussing over what may happen, and what may not. It was better that they didn’t know.
She shifted her position a little, more a habit than an actual need to keep her body from going numb, pulling her cardigan tighter around her frame as she stared at at the view before her. The sun due to go down at any moment, it felt like a perfect moment to end the day. Not that she was deliberately trying to be nostalgic, or pessimistic. Hearing footsteps join her, she turned her head a little to smile at Jonathan. “Welcome to my hiding spot.” she began with a smile.
