I attend the film screening of a collection of Bisaya animated films from BINISAYA, at the Cebu City Public Library. Jovanni Tinapay (@jovtinapay) gives a talk about local film animation and shares his insights on what it takes to thrive in the industry. "Jovanni Tinapay is a Filipino/Bisaya animator and filmmaker. He is based in his hometown in Cebu where he finished his bachelor of fine arts major in cinema in the University of San Carlos. Starting as an Indie filmmaker in 2014, his works has been showcased in Cinema One Originals, Cinemarehiyon, Binisaya, Animahenasyon and the Formosa Festival International of Filmmakers Awards." Other animated films from BINISAYA also presented in the event. Films by award-winning film directors Remton Siega Zuasola, Aldo Nelbert Banaynal, and Karl Derick Sia. The event is organized by Youth for a Livable Cebu (YLC) in partnership with BINISAYA, Cebu City Public Library and Handuraw Pizza.
