Any thoughts on the Akira Yoshida controversy?

I don’treally have that much to say on the matter. It’s all sorts of hilarious, and I’mboth impressed and disgusted by this whole thing. Disgusted, because thisgreedy bastard basically cheated other people out of their job, impressed,because he actually managed to pull off something like this. Building a fakeidentity, writing for said fake identity, keeping up appearances, actuallymanaging to take the money in… In the last few hours I’ve seen interviews ofpeople swearing they actually saw this “Yoshida” in person, but it was actuallyjust some other guy. It’s borderline bizarre, feels like the plot of a movie…It’s like Remington Steele at Marvel comics, only unfortunately there’s no attractivecon man keeping up appearances…

I don't get (color me a daft aspie) what is wrong with the Marvel guy who used to have a pseudonym (that honestly sounds like you could tack it on an anime character)? People do that to get started in the creative industries. JK Rowling used her initials because her editor said "boys won't read a book written by a woman", and no one minded when she told of it, even if it wasn't her name and was specifically chosen to obscure her gender (the first fan letter JK ever got, addressed her as Mr.)

Ok so what he did is basically yellowface.
