so it wasn't at school but i was out in the town i live in and this dude tripped up and dropped his coffee and i felt bad but had to try really hard to stop myself from laughing

Trust me, it happened all the time in Geelong. Some of the students on campus were perpetually drunk/stoned ((except in exam times; then they're actually pretty good students AFAICT)) and the first few times I wondered "Shouldn't we help these guys" but when I went to help one of them a professor ((A PROFESSOR)) grabbed me by the shoulder and told me that it wasn't worth it.
