Amei Zhao produces one volume after another for her graphic novel series Nameless and the Scientist. With a mesmerizing grasp on color and a unique sense of paneling, Zhao tells the story of one’s search for lost memories and ultimately identity, and the old friends and foes they meet on their journey. While some may say the lack of consistency in her style is distracting, I personally find it intriguing since it illuminates how her perspective on art and people and relationships has changed over time.
