When I took this picture, I was focused on the cedar’s female cones, which are the brownish bud-looking growths in the centre and to the right.  

But as I reviewed the photo later, I realised I’d also captured male cones!  These are the tiny brownish-yellowish spots at the very tips of the leaves, which can be seen perhaps most easily on the left, but also on the far right.  I didn’t expect to capture those!
