Cedfia week Day 3: In the palm of my hand

Aaaaaaa I wanted to get out of my comfort zone with the cedfia and do something I would normally do with beetlebabes or so.

This is based on the "Cursed AU" by PuppyCotton on twitter. Their design of Sofia was sooo 🛐🛐🛐that I have to try something with it.

The Myth of Persephone and Hades.

The loner king of the underworld who fell in love with a beautiful springtime goddess. The sunlight he tried to keep all to himself in the dark depths of his kingdom, through any means necessary.

This Cedfia Au is based roughly off the myth. An au where Cedric was made God of the underworld because of a failed scheme to take over Olympus, and Sofia is a Demi-goddess and adoptive daughter of Zeus AKA King Rolland.

Instead of Hades kidnapping Persephone, in this version, he can’t get rid of her. She is always bothering him in the underworld until he notices the jewel around her neck. A gift from Zeus that is powerful enough to destroy the king god.

He then tries to trick Persephone into eating the food of the dead so he can trap her there, and the only way she can return to earth is by giving him the gemstone.

Hades repeatedly fails at fooling the Goddess, but she returns each day regardless, and as time goes by, he finds himself completely smitten with Persephone. So, when she one day accidentally consumes food from the underworld, Hades asks (begs) her to marry him, so she won’t suffer the fate of the dead and become Queen of the Underworld instead.
