20世紀の初頭に活躍したデザイナーであり、画家であり、建築家でもある多才な方です。

工業デザイナーとして深いつながりを持ったAEGのホームページには、今も彼の業績が紹介されています。

こちらはSiemens社で彼がデザインしたLuzetteという名のランプ。

公共機関やホールなど、比較的大振りな施設に使われたランプですので意外と現存しているのですが、施設によって素材やガラスの組み合わせは様々。

チェーンもちゃんとデザインされています。

人類の歴史上、一人の人間はとても小さな存在かもしれませんが、彼が彼以降の時代に与えた影響を考えるととてもワクワクするのです。
