oKAY so i realized that in my country, we have an event called "buwan ng wika" (month of language) for the entire month of august where we celebrate anything that pertains to being a filipino — and it only clicked to me now that I should draw my ships in the traditional clothing!!
tom/jesse wears a commoner's type of clothing, where they're mostly farmers! we also have a little tradition in courtship where a man sings to the lady he's interested in with a guitar. this activity is called harana 💕
then there's chil.de/celadon who wear more elite clothing! they're supposed to be singing a song called "pasayawa ko 'day" (dance with me, lady?) where the man, obviously asks to dance with her, but she constantly declines because she's not interested. just a little parallel to the tartaladon dynamic 🙈
