Jackson’s classes at the studio had been cancelled. The demon couldn’t deny that he was relieved with it, because the last thing he wanted was to deal with his class of brats. Calling in sick had crossed his mind as soon as he woke up. Today, the dancing teacher really didn’t feel like going to work. In the beginning, he had thought that a strong black coffee would solve his problem, but after the morning passed and the afternoon finally arrived, Jackson realized that nothing was going to change his mood about teaching today. His body was aching to hunt and that was exactly what he did as soon as he left the studio. If his boss hadn’t told him that they needed his classroom to a classic dancing demonstration for a foreign movie, the dancer would have asked to take the rest of the day off.
After satisfying the demon inside of him, Jackson left the remains of the human body in the alleyway before he went straight away to his apartment. After changing his clothes to something more comfortable, the young man started to send a few texts to some of his friends. Hopefully, one of them would be free for the rest of the afternoon. After half an hour, Jackson realized that his hope had flown away from the window. They all seemed to be busy with work or with personal issues. Mark wasn’t even answering his text and that made the demon pout at that fact.
“Whatever.” Grumbling under his breath, the dancer knew exactly where to find him.
The library was close to his building, so it didn’t take him long to arrive there. Jackson rarely came to the library, because the last thing he had come to this place to meet Mark, one of the librarian had to kick him out. He always had a spontaneous personality. Jackson had always been loud. So as expected, a library wasn’t the perfect place for him to stay. The demon couldn’t be quiet as he constantly had something to say or to complain. Only nerds liked to hang out in the library. Even in high school, he had always tried to avoid studying in the library. Being in silence was always a problem. Coexisting with silence was even worse. The young man only came to libraries when he needed something very urgency. Right now, what Jackson needed was Mark.
However when the demon arrived there, he couldn’t find his best friend anywhere.
Fifteen minutes had passed. Jackson continued to wander around the library for a few more minutes before he tried to find one of the librarians. Behind his back, he was crossing his fingers to not find the librarian who had kicked him out a few months ago. If that happened, the man would try to kick him once again and that wasn’t going to end well, because Jackson wasn’t going to leave without Mark.
Clearing out his throat, the demon had the decency to keep his voice low when he called for the librarian he had found. “Excuse me.” His back was to him, so he couldn’t say if it was the same librarian he had met or not. To be honest, Jackson couldn’t even remember the man’s face anymore. If it wasn’t the same, he certainly wouldn’t be able to recognize him.
