How I feel being able to liveblog after missing 2 eps AND a dark week:
Awww the new SVTFOE ep was so cute! I was actually tearing up at the scenes where Star was missing Marco haha. The music was great too, as always.
Not to get all Old on you guys, but this ep really made me reminisce on my own first love. Almost the same situation as Star’s: I was 15, had my first boyfriend’s old jacket, found out that my mom had washed it and I was crying because it didn’t smell like him anymore LOL.
Of course my boyfriend wasn’t in a different dimension, but still
And even though now, from my adult perspective, it was such a small thing, when you’re a teenager it’s HUGE. World-shattering, even. Not only are you probably experiencing the strongest romantic feelings you’ve ever felt up to this point in your life, but circumstances- be they strict parents, school obligations, etc.- might prevent you from spending as much time as you would like with that special person. So you hang on to any piece of them you can- be it a note passed in class, a small gift, or even an item of clothing that smells like them. You want to submerge yourself in the feelings, memories, and embrace of that person.
Anyway yeah, I thought the ep did a good job of showing the longing you feel when you have your first serious crush/love, and how it can even make you a little wacky about it haha. Good work Star crew!
I would LOVE to get through one (1)! viewing! of the Polar Express without sobbing near the end!

I feel like I want to write a review/analysis of Battle for Mewni, but there’s a LOT to unpack so I definitely need to rewatch a few times before I do
