Reasons why you should read all for the game

1. tiny ace redhead that cant keep his mouth shut 1.5. tiny ace redhead is really fast he little legs can barely keep up with he speed 2. tiny gay angry man that has knives up his sleeves and talks like he’s a character written by shakespeare 3. badass women that the entirety of the fandom simps for 4. kevin day 5. found family dynamic 6. the fandom literally never runs out of things to post you can search for aftg like right now and there will be aftg shitposts or art or whatever that was posted exactly 2 seconds ago 7. the author was extremely self indulgent when she was writing it so it’s kind of like a rlly fun fanfic except with ocs and everything’s canon and whatever’s not canon the fandom makes canon 8. neil josten’s internal monologue he is just constantly roasting ppl constantly there is no end 9. there are actually some really neat quotes in there ngl like have u ever heard someone in real life unironically say ‘it sounded like a dream it tasted like damnation’ or ‘im going to be the deadliest piece on the board’ bc i havent 10. honestly i could keep going but i will Stop right now 11. also please please keep in mind that there are A Ton of triggering scenes in this series ik there was a list of tws going around earlier ill have to look for it but tbh idk if ill be able to find it bc tumblr is a shithole that hides all the important stuff from me but ill send it ur way if i find it :)

wrong question. the right question is, should you read aftg?

here is a detailed list of trigger warnings for the series. please read through the entire thing. the books are extremely dark, they hit on a LOT of heavy topics in ways that can be triggering (or disturbing/uncomfortable in general) for people, and you absolutely should not plunge into them without knowing what you’re in for.

obviously the presence of a pretty active tumblr fandom means that people like these books. but it is very much a thing in this fandom to *not* go around recommending them because of the content.

i like aftg. i like the characters and i like that the premise is a little outlandish, and i like the writing style. but that’s me. i know my limits with dark topics in fiction very well. i hesitate to tell someone why they should read aftg because i don’t know anything about you or what you enjoy reading.

if after reading through the list of trigger warnings you’re still interested in reading, i’d recommend scrolling through some aftg blogs! edits in particular can be rlly helpful for getting an idea of the tone/vibe of the series. but like i said, i’m not going to provide a laundry list of ‘reasons to read aftg’.
